Talk about the Weather in December

by Meyer, Thomas 30 November 2009 in Better Things To Do

This Tuesday we'll be gathering with our friends, business partners and members of the Berlin creative community for the 18th Talk about the Weather. Speakers have just been announced, we'll be hearing about a handcrafted e-bike called GRACE and about where and how people will work together in the future from a member of agile software development company mindmatters in Hamburg.

The worst day in the life of a pig.

by Müller, Bernd 9 November 2009 in Better Things To Do

The anthropologist Marvin Harris has a theory that the human race can be divided into porcophobes and porcophiles.

There can't be much doubt about which side of the fence Daniela and Bernd of Meyer, Miller, Smith are coming down on. To witness: The carnivore couple will take part in Porkcamp, a barcamp-style event centered around slaughtering, preparing and eating pigs.

From January 22nd to 24th seven groups of seven porkcampers each plus a butcher to a pig will slaughter the pigs, cut up the meat, prepare (and feast on!) a butcher's meal with fresh black pudding, pork pies and liver sausages. There will be hands-on experiences about warm meat processing, brining, smoking and the production of meat preserves, there will be hams to salt and dry, bags of meat to freeze, lard to clarify, and, best of all, German sausages to make.

It will be the most wonderful weekend. (Maybe not so for the pigs.)

Who We Are and What We Do

Meyer, Miller, Smith.

Head. Hands. Heart. We believe that there is a real connection between craftsmanship and communication. Working together as a group of skilled craftsmen we fuse contemporary design (Meyer) and the art of storytelling (Miller) with cutting edge technology (Smith), relentlessly pushing into new territory by creating pioneering work.

As information and intelligence becomes the domain of computers, society will place more value on the one human ability that cannot be automated: Emotions.

People want to experience beauty, enjoy one’s work, feel passion, they want to interact with each other. We all want.

That’s why we believe that the future of brands is interaction, not commodity. It’s not something you buy, but something you participate in.
